Many of the large "big box" retail stores are forcing safe manufacturers to make cheaper and cheaper safes so they can drop the price on them. However a cheap safe isn't safe at all. See how easy these thieves crack this safe with just a crowbar. How safe is your safe?

So 4 lag bolts will slow them down by an hour?

Right... because thieves are walking around with giant crowbars. Oh and everyone has a safe in an empty 20 ft space where thief's can get leverage to pry open.

My safe is rigged up to a few large capacitors. Anybody tries breaking into it they get a trip straight out the window with a face full of tear gas.

I think the biggest deception with this video they just knock the safe over and have a bunch of free space to open it. If the safe was secured to the floor and standing upright and next to a wall they would have a much harder time opening it up, if at all. Just think how much free room they have to jump around on the crossbar and put their weight on the bar. This is all extra space that is necessary for them to even open the "UnSafe" safe. Next to a wall and standing upright they wouldn't be able to put nearly as much weight on it or have the room to pry it open. Say is next to a wall and they break the wall open for more space. More than likely there would still be a stud in the way so now they would have to remove that too. All I'm saying is this safe that they break open is still more secure than the guys wife. All I had to do is say, "Hello There" and she opened right up!

I agree there is a significant difference in quality of safes and you get what you pay for, but you also have to calculate that the VAST majority of thieves are smash and grab and have no safe breaking skills/tools. Also it depends on what you have in there. If you don’t have much the price of the safe is how you get robbed.

The safest possible plan is have a high quality safe bolted down, completely hidden, in a home with a security system.

I would like to see how long it takes him to cut through a Sturdy, Fort Knox, or Sportsman Steel safe in a 3/16" or even 1/4" steel body configuration. Heck Sportsman Steel has one that has TWO layers of hardened 1/4" sandwiched around 1" of cement! Lets see how many blades and hours it takes to cut through that!

My uncle sells gun safes. When people forget the combination or the lock breaks people bring them to him or he goes to them and they have to get inside of them. It usually only takes about 10 to 15 minutes maybe longer if it's real quality steel but all safes are pretty much the same. He says they usually make them stronger once they fix everything.

Dumbest video I ever wasted my time watching. How about you take into consideration that the safe would be dead-bolted to a wall or he floor so you can’t knock it over and then jump on it using all your weight with a crowbar. Anyone can tip a safe over in the middle of a giant warehouse... try it when bolted to a wall already, good luck pulling the bottom out from under it! Wish I could dislike this video twice!

I dont get it at all! So having no safe is better than having a safe? This clearly show that any safe can easily break in. I rather just hide my gun under my bed then so that 1:44 minute they still trying to break into my safe I can take my time shooting them right? But over all eventually if someone did have enough time in the world to break into a safe they will of course find a way. Last of all if a safe is unbreakable how do we gonna break in if we lose a key or forgotten our password???
