Saturday’s and Sunday’s I’d go to my Pap’s house when I was really young. He lived about an hour away. He would always put Mr. Rogers neighborhood on in the mornings. I didn’t understand most things he said. However, when I did start to get older and understand, I learned a lot. I learned things that schools can’t teach a child. Though I never met Mr. Rogers (I say this cause I live in Pittsburgh) I still feel to this day that through his show I knew him so well...

                      Rest In Peace, neighbor.

Wow, cannot believe I am typing this, but this was quite an extraordinary film. I was 7 years old when the Mr. Rogers show debued, but I never watched entire episodes. I guess I didn't really get it.
But this movie was quite....well, beautiful.

5Stars: Compelling emotional 'thriller', without horror, screams or fear! IMHO, Alternate titles for this film: 'new (tender) heart' or...'stay human'? Glimpses of Mr. Rogers exist even now all around us,... for that reason when I am able, I watch the Late Show with Stephen Colbert who is civil, brilliant and fun, with JBaptiste's current band by the same, the carefully selected name that embodies one of the many lessons of 'beautiful day'...STAY HUMAN:)

Just saw this movie with my mom and we both got very teary eyed and emotional during several scenes of the film. I’m not nearly old enough to have been able to grow up with the show Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, But I only wish I could have grown up with it like my mom did. I only wish I could have met the real Mr. Rogers in real life, he seemed like the kindest, most wholesome person you could have ever met. I hope Mr. Rogers is doing well wherever he is.

It's beautifully written and shows how much of the movie was truly based off of Fred's life. I think the movie was great and Tom Hanks did a phenomenal job.

Everyone used to watch Mister Rodgers. no matter their color. financial situation etc. the type of compassion he taught still dosnt exist enough...from my pov. More people need to understand that children are like impressionable sponges. teach them violence, racism, hate etc at a young age, theyll turn into bitter adults and destroy the world. No one is born f'd up, life makes them f'd up.

I've never watched a single episode of Mr. Rogers' show (growing up in Vietnam, I had different things). I've read a lot about him and his absolute, genuine, pure *goodness*.

I'm bawling my eyes out as I watched this trailer. I was taught much of the same things he taught, but damn, I think I would be a much better person if I had grown up with him in my heart.

There is a beautiful neighborhood for people like Reverend Rogers.
