It has a air-compressor outlet and 110-volt outlets + you can order it with a sunpower-roof. Thats pretty freaking awesome and it actually looks really mean and brutal. It’s for people that don’t give a f*** what naysayers think and you can still get shot by them and survive and after that just drive them off the road because it’s literally a tank haha. This is for minimalists but also people that are handy-men. Still few will ever beat you in a street race and you can do that with your tools in the back 😂

"Nerd vehicle", enough with the fucking labels already. It's a high tech truck with lower operating costs targeting all the truck owners that drive a top trim F-150 or 250 that don't actually tow anything but like the options a truck bed provides when moving things.

Its beyond terrible. It will be a novelty item for a small number of people. It will not get current truck owners out of their pick ups.

1.- By the end of the XIX century many people (and media) could not believe their beautiful & beloved horses could be replaced by ugly diesel or gasoline machines. 2.- Tesla Cybertruck was designed considering to be used either on the Earth, the Moon and Mars (but for sale only on Earth)

This is not a "Nerd vehicle" this is a step change in design. The pickup truck hasn't changed for almost 100 years - since the Model T. 250k orders in under a week show that this vehicle is going to be a huge success. Look at the specs. Look at the price. They are amazing. They beat all conventional ICE pickup trucks on every metric. This truck has no badges - it doesn't need any. Like a Delorean everyone will know it's a Tesla when they see it on the road. It's so far ahead of the competition. ICE vehicles are obsolete and inefficient. They polute the air we breath and they are killing the planet. We have a climate crisis and we need to move away from fossil fuels. Tesla is leading the way.

CNBC made a good point if you watch their video about why Ram is doing well. Chevy buyers won’t buy Ford and Ford drivers won’t buy Chevy but both will consider a Ram, and most who did said it was because of the technology. If a better truck comes out, as long as it isn’t the brand they already hate they’ll consider it. I think the same will apply for this truck.

Wow, these guys are clueless, know nothing about electric, they only mention Tesla base loyalty, and are pretty much telling you how to read into who 'would' drive this truck. There are obviously many who are pretty tired of empty concept car ideas who would never be really made. There are people ready for trucks/cars that really break the mold (outside of just turning a headlight on its side and making a big deal about it) . Perhaps these analysts want to feel they have some control and perception of people, of sales figures, by oversimplifying and always staying inside static boxes. People of all types are coming out of the woodwork saying they would drive the Cybertruck for 'Many' reasons... Performance, Cost, Technology, Utility, and yes some also for Looks - whatever that means for them - it is becoming that evocative. We are in an age where people are getting tired of staying in boxes and there is more differentiation across the board and that reaction is quite unique. In the same day I overheard a 75 year old man and a 16 year old girl separately talking about how much they loved the 'Cyber car' I guess they are the target nerd demographic? The only thing these CNBC clips constantly illustrate is outdated, out of touch, biases.

There have been 16 mass extinctions in humanity's 150,000 year history of being anatomically modern humans. These "preppers" have merit. On that note, humanity MUST become a multi planetary species while it has the means to do so or else we'll never survive.

It's going to be more popular than anybody ever thought it would be. I try to imagine what if vehicles were shaped like the cybertruck all along and then somebody designed a traditional looking truck. We'd say the boxy design looked ugly.

As they hit the door, the window went down a little becoming loose and not gripping the top part of the door, that's why the window broke when they hit it with a metal ball. If the window was properly intact, then we would be all happy with all the demos. In other words if they started by hitting the window instead of starting by hitting the door, all demos would have gone well. The window needed to be held together in place just like when they were doing the drop ball demos.

Why is Tesla being bashed so much about a minor imperfection?! The Cybertruck is above and beyond everyone’s expectations and blow a everyone else out of the water and then sum. Elon did show on his Twitter feed that Franz did throw the ball multiple times at the window. One time and a normal trucks window would shatter. I would have to say that showed a lot of guts when Franz asked Elon should I throw it, and responding with yes, in front of all the media and the views takes a lot of guts. I would chalk that mishap as a win, because I know that will never happen again. Plus the ball didn’t even go through the window. So short sighted and one minded CNBC 👎

Complete new stuff where the external is actually the structure of the car, this apparently has been around as an idea for some 30 years but no one had the balls to take a step forward in that direction. And the point is that production cost is way below compared to the current process in place in the industry. So huge connection between shape limitations, toughness and production cost. Off course it is a futuristic look, and that is where the genius come in.

If the production version doesn't have bulletproof glass, will do aftermarket. Would also like to mount a remote control machine gun, flamethrower or whatever I can get away with. I am going to gamble that with a camo wrap and with some national insignia, police will assume it's an official vehicle.
