With the cost of NVMe storage having come down to such low prices now, more people are using multiple m.2 NVMe drives in a single system. For example, a board that has three m.2 slots like the Gigabyte z390 Aorus Ultra having a samsung 970 evo boot drive plus two more intel 660p drives for additional storage. It would be interesting to see if placing the boot drive in a different slot would affect system performance deoending if it had direct pci lanes to the cpu or going through the chipset.

You gotta watch Amazon. Around sales times, they often list the before price as "List", which is actually the list price, and not the price it was. They artificially inflate the price in order to make it appear as if it's on sale. What you want to see is "Was" for the before price, not "List", which is the price the item was before the sale.

Case in point: They're currently listing the 8TB WD Red drive with a sale price of $215. The "List" price is $300, which is not what the drive was selling for prior. And they're putting a "You Save" block between those two prices as well. I bought that drive a few weeks ago when there was no sale, it was $215. What's even worse is that during Black Friday sales the 8TB drive actually increased in price to $220.

Compare the 8TB wording to the wording on the 4TB page, which is actually on sale, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

can you compare FX9590 to 3950x? why no one compares old tech to new tech to see how far we improved in CPU. I want to see fx9590 with 5700xt or 2080ti vs 3950x with the same graphic cards and same amount of ram. if the rams are ddr3 vs ddr4 due to 2006 technology of fx9590 its ok. do some modern and old gaming comparisons. I want to see just how far a graphic upgrade could get me and others with old systems would take us today.

What’s up with all these adds lately? It’s all over the place by the way not just your channel. I think YT is making it as unbearable as possible so maybe people will go for their paid service. Or they are just ripping you off and making money in your expense. By the way I saw someone commenting “that’s why I pay for redtube” or whatever it was. Yea right, that is still fucking stupid, ads or no ads...

Just got MY FIRST ssd in my rig. My rig is r5 2600, w/RX580, I've bee using a SSHD, A 2 tb Seagate Firecuda, I bought it not knowing what I know now. Back when 256 gb on ssd was 250 bucks, the firecuda was between a wd GREEN , HDD, which was a thing, and only 10 $ more then the WD BLUE, the wd black was overpriced, so I was content on the "hybrid" drive, with apparent 8gb flash. [I've never noticed if it exists] SSDs alaways frightend me, the talk about how it decays with each write. I finally decided to try with a 100$ samsung 860, evo, it was 20 more then the TLC version, Its Mlc so I can trust in its performance, and wow. I was 100 planning to clone my os from my old drive but during my last session, somehow the boot loader got jacked up. And I didnt feel like really fighting with recovery, so I installed fresh on the ssd, and it's amazing, nothing makes pcs seem faster. It boots In 14 seconds, where before 2 minutes, would be good. And another 3 for everything to start. [ antivirus, Orgin, uplay, bitcomet. ] lol I'm so glad I did it, I debated on 2 more Tb of Wd blue. The seagate is quite clicky... but it still has my data accessible, so I'm moving my saves, and whatnot. Preparing for my first hdd that died before the pc was replaced, ie prebuilts

Is the current trend to have all SSD on board? Moving HHD to outside the case? An M.2 on the mobo, then multiple 2.5 SATA drives? I ask, as some of the sales are still in effect.. Or do HHD's still have an important role to play within the confines of the case? (My last build was 6 years ago)
