@Jared Sousa I'm gonna learn what I can from the Reddit posts and DnDBeyond videos. If you hear anything interesting, keep me posted please!

@Jared Sousa they are releasing a bunch of videos with Matt explaining everything on the DnDBeyond YouTube channel. I haven't watched them yet but I'm looking forward to it.

U can check d&d beyond. They talk about all the subclasses individually.

1n20DnD. Apparently it’s suppose to be 2 wizard (dunamancy) subclasses (working with gravity and time respectfully), and 1 fighter (dunamancy) subclass (deals with probability/possibility)

@Jared Sousa it's gonna be awesome! I'm glad I'm not the only one that's hyped for it.

People forget this is not called Explorer's Guide to Critical Role but Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, it's an official sourcebook for D&D 5e that covers a setting extensively. It's obvious that Wizard's want to capitalize on the success of CR but this isn't a shameless cash grab like D&D vs Rick and Morty, Mercer himself would have never allowed for a shitty ass book to come out, especially considering how much he suffers from impostor syndrome. I bet this is going to be a prim and proper sourcebook with plenty of material for a lot of people to use.

@jahvyn leadership, cooperation, calculated risk taking, etc.! You're totally right. I'm going to introduce my son to the Star Wars RPG system that we are playing with on Tabletop Galaxy soon and I can't wait!

@1n20DnD pa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Little brother!

Yes, it's a great game for the family. When we all spend so much time rushing about, staring at screens etc in our daily lives, the chance to spend time with each other creating stories and characters is so valuable. And I think it teaches children valuable skills too; narrative forming, turn taking, compromise, interaction skills etc etc. It's a wonderful hobby and I'm so happy to share it with my kids.

@jahvyn that's fantastic! My son is only 6, so I stick to the NotQuiteHeroes podcast because it's more kid friendly. I love that more and more families are playing these games together! I get to play with my brother sometimes, but he's 44! LOL

Carlo, I think you're right. I've only been into d&d for a few months (although I played wfrp about 30 years ago). I've been watching the 2nd season of CR and the world Matt M has built is great, very vibrant. He seems like the sort who loves what he does, can't believe his luck, and would pump all he's got into creating a fantastic product.

I'm pretty certain I'll get it once it's released. I play d&d with my 2 daughters, my eldest absolutely loves it. We watch CR together (despite the language being a bit strong for an 11 Yr old!). Only a couple of weeks ago she said she wished we could game in his world; soon we'll be able to!

@Argisus agreed. And I'm sure lots of people are waiting for Dark Sun material. What are you most looking forward to? I'm really curious about the new magic school, Deunamancy.

@1n20DnD I mean there's a new School of magic, monsters, magic items, subclasses, and more stuff the person is prob kind of upset that we're not getting dark sun or what not, which I understand why people would be upset but I think the 306 pages for wildemount would be way more interesting than dark sun. (don't know the setting but what I can tell it's fan favorite.

I think there will still be something for everyone, even if you're not a fan of CR. Was there something else you were hoping the new book would be?
