                Dear Carla thank you for the video I hated cooking dried beans and I was totally put off by the myth that cooking beans with salt made them tough. I just cooked an unctuous chickpea / garbanzo curry inspired by you and the contents of my pre payday store cupboard. I would usually have used tinned beans because garbanzo are notoriously hard to get edible.

                                                            I tried this recipe and learned.... Don’t leave the lemon in too long it will get bitter so add close to the end. Also don’t soak beans in too small a container, I used a mason jar and it was a disaster so soak in plenty of water in a big container
