@Nick Crill That's the car I have always wanted. I have a 5th gen camaro now, was thinking the cts-v would drop in price and could sell the Camaro ss, but the cts-v just keeps staying at sane price for a low mileage one at about 36k, a cts-v wagon I would love also because of how rare and still just as fast.

I got a 2005 sti that was given a salvage title for hail damage. It got totalled because PDR would also require repainting the hood, roof, and trunk. Bought it back from insurance and kept driving the car since it was all cosmetic damage.

I've had my salvage/rebuilt 2013 Kia Optima since its had 59k miles (front passenger fender hit), that was 2 years ago, it's now at 120k miles, oil changes every 3k-5k miles, spark plugs every 10k, valve gasket seals and radiator flush, still revs smooth, no lifter tick, nothin.

Depends. I got a rebuilt title 2012 g37s 6MT coupe, with every option and 73k miles for 10 grand. Just hit 81k miles and nothing is wrong with it, I lucked out but I'd never do that again

They usually go to auction. Than a shop or individual decides to buy it cheap and flip it

You will lose money on buying a salavage title car. R title cars are just as bad but at least people will come check it out. With a salvage title its like an instant deal breaker because of insurance reasons

I bought a 2013 salvaged FRS with 88kmiles for $8000 in . Best purchase ever. Still running good at 90k miles. Anyways, I’d rather buy a salvaged then to spend $30k at a dealership.

There is another way a salvage title is created. I found an abandoned car 2 years after abandonment and managed to find the previous owner. She made a bill of sale and signed it over to me saying she lost the title. Being as the original title was not involved the transaction a salvage title was issued. I ran the car and loved it for seven years. Gave it away to my dad and was saddened to hear years later that he was hit and the car was totaled.

those salvage titles are WAY overpriced. You can get a decent non salvage car in other states for like 3K.

My truck was in a flood and never earned a salvage title because the previous owner just opened the windows and let it dry out.

It didn't work. Shit's gross. Entire interior is in a dumpster now, but i'll take a free v8, manual trans, 4wd chevy truck. He even put a brand new reman engine in it before giving up and handing it to me.

I've bought a lot of salvage titled cars and trucks. Never have I had problems with getting insurance. I've even had full coverage on a salavaged titled F150 through progressive. You just won't get the full value of the vehicle if you wreck it.
