If this had 8 pins, this would effectively have 32 pins that need picking. Is 'boring the picker to death' a valid defense mechanism?

Might be easier to break through the wall, than to pick this lock.

I've seen a lot of your videos, you're great. BUT in the presence of unconventional keys like this, having the key in your hands gives you an extra bonus. Without a key you would have much more trouble. I'm wrong?

I don’t think the lock picking lawyer’s definition of simple is the same as ours... 😂

Without prior knowledge of how this lock works, I'd reckon it's damn near unpickable.

Imagine all these cool things that make it tricky to pick, and add it on top of a Bowley lock. It would take forever to pick even when instruments for it will be invented.

Is this lock drilling resistant? Position of the pins, direction they are turned to, making me think, drilling this lock will do nothing, am i right?

                                                                  I have a question
In Europe it is quite common that locks require full turns of the lock in order to unlock. Like you said this one took a 360 degree turn. But most locks can be double locked so they'd need 720 degrees to open.
Locks in the US seem to just unlock by inserting the key, turning it 90 degrees and then turning it back to center. It's more user friendly I guess, and American friends that come to visit me always get perplexed why the locks are the way they are here. They always need a full tutorial before they can use them xD

How much harder to pick are locks that require full rotations to open? And is there a European version of Master Locks that make terrible locks? xD

                                                                  • drsnoggle
