I hope you are sending your 8 year old to speech class for his lisp. I also said my "s" with a lisp as a child, fortunately for me a speech teacher noticed it in elementary school and I attended speech therapy for a few years to retrain myself how to say "s" without a lisp. Best thing they could've done for me because now as an adult I say my s properly and when I see another adult speaking with a lisp I feel for them and wonder why no one helped them with speech classes as a child.
