Scary, Loni? What if a white woman said that about walking into a place with all black men? When are you going to stop judging people on their skin color? Keep the stereotyping/racism going, though, if that's what you want, but don't blame white people for being racist when you are just as racist.

My biracial BF doesn't understand when I tell him certain things pertaining to this topic. I am happy Tamara does; however,my BF has more Caucasian features which is not typical of a biracial person. Therefore I don't think he has experienced things on the same level. He disagrees, but you can tell through his speech. All in all I love him.

A little something I learned in my Diversity of Mass Media class in college:

Sessue Hayakawa was America's First Hollywood Heartthrob of the Silent Film era.
He was a Japanese American man who caused American men to be threatened by his stardom and became a catalyst for many modern day rumors about Asian men to deter his popularity with American women of his time. He eventually left the American acting scene.

It is so important to know about people like Sessue who make history because they can become lost in the fray in the fight for Diversity.

Wow I’m glad to hear tamera speak out about how she felt as a child because I relate 100% . I never saw kids that looked like me I had curly brown hair and brown skin. Now it’s so common to see someone like me in the street

Unpopular: black American women can't get a starring role, they all go to mixed girls or British black people. Ithink there's something behind that. Also they hate to have a couple with 2 black partbers star in something.

I just watched Queen and Slim and they show a preview for a movie starring Issa and Lakeith.. I was wildin' out in my seat!

But not going to acknowledge she’s mixed also? I’m sorry but if you have blue eyes and darn near straight hair - BIOLOGICALLY (don’t come for me with that culture stuff) there’s physically no way you’re “just black”. “Lightskin black” means mixed 💁🏽‍♀️

When I'm with the my family, im the only one. When Im sporting, I'm the only one. On TV you had some gay out people like Ellen, but none like me. Also I think diversity in colour should be more in social media.

I grew up in a white neighborhood, but I still had Tisha Campbell, Phylicia Rashad, Debbie Allen to aspire to. Then there's Kyla Pratt, TLC, Destiny's Child... the list goes on for me but I understand what they're saying.

I don’t or needed someone to “look like me” to know that I could do what it is I wanted to do. I don’t need representation. Is it bad that i don’t subscribe to that ideology or mentality?
