I have no idea what this is about. NONE of this has ever happened in a meat or seafood department I’ve managed.

If it didn't sell, I got to be the one to open the package, dump the items into a bin and haul it outside into a locked bin for disposal. It was something we did first thing every morning, first markdown the items, if they didn't sell, then.....bam!!! GONE. :D It was fun! :)

I worked at Loblaws Bakery, Kingston during the summer of 2019, the products that were not priced down were thrown in a bin. There were six, 4-foot tall large garbage bins that were transported to pig farms TWICE a week, to feed the pigs that we all eat bacon, pork chops, and any other pork product from. LOTS of it was moldy and still sent for the pigs to eat. Most chain stores are a disgusting excuse for customer pleasure and accessibility.

I know when I was homeless years ago before I managed to scrape myself up out of homelessness I ate discarded food. It was food discarded in the dumpster, but still entirely edible. But it wasn't moldy, we just waste a ton of food and being hungry I took advantage of it!

That's what many cultures did for hundreds of years before Refrigeration. The Indians perfected it with the use of Spices.

When he makes statements like, "I don't accept that this is happening." It means he is unwilling to do anything about the problem...Perhaps he's getting money on the side to not do anything about it.

Also, the microbiologist did say that released toxins can diffuse through soft fruit and guess what it will diffuse to the cake mix because it's soft too
