A huge thanks to Dr. Jamie Seymour, a world renouned venom biologist at James Cook University. He's a top notch guy who helped me open my eyes to the wonders of the ocean.

I wish he never went to film it..
Steve Irwin was a camera hogging glutton.
He was grandstanding for cameras when he got hit by the ray. No sympathy for the this fool.
heroes come in all shapes and sizes and Steve was one of the best
My wife and I were on an Alaskan cruise when we heard about Steve dying. What a loss!
No one will believe me obviously but I’m related to steve
Need English subtitles.
Pirates are from Australia
PETA triggered
Australia is the greatest country on earth. Nicest and sweetest people
Oceans deadliest. Well. Accruate.
Thank you for the great interview!
In 2017 I went to Australia zoo at school and I said to my mum where is Steve Irwin but then I learned what happened
I grew up watching Steve! And I’ll never forget him and the work his done for animal conservation.
The stingray is a LIAR!!!!
Steve’s alive!!!!
Sorry to say,but Steve DID NOT respect wild animals, for starters i have Scuba Dived for years!I have filmed many encounters
with Passive and Dangerous animals.I always kept a respective distance,to film them especially if they would attack.
You NEVER EVER swim up to a Sting Ray from behind of course that's where the business end is.
Steve has done great for studying wild animals, but his methods were very careless, you can not just jump on
animal, and expect it to give you Hug!
A man that loved and cared for animals of all kinds, he didn't harm or kill them, a good man🙂🐍❤🏴
Animals all over the world must have celebrated his death
Steve was a buffoon playing at being a naturalist
He was a showman with animals as his props
He never cared about the animals just showmanship for ratings
Which episode was it on?
Its 2019 and this is still an awesome video
i miss that crazy bugger
One of the best humans ever, rest in peace my friend.
He knew his mortality, But he did it all for the animals. Amazing man, taken from us all way to soon 😔
Is his death on camera? Just a question
Dr. Seymoure looks like Mike The Cops lost brother.
No loss, he was a loser. If you don't know why search old videos.
Swimming up on it as your shadow hits it from behind was considered safe and called a freak accident?
Steve wore his heart on his slieve was good at what he did and did not care what anybody thhought he brought awareness to a animal that was not to understood and conservation so in my book hes a o k rip steve irwin condolences to his wife abd kids who he loved too god bless
Steve died a year before i was born but that didn't stop him from being one of my favorite people.
2019 aussie are still sad about steve
To date, this is probably the best Interview made about Steve. Even despite it being so short.
I wish this interview had been conducted somewhere without all the loud background noise.
Dr. Seymour's a GREAT guy, and an Honestly awesome person. God Bless You Jamie...
I went to Steve's Funeral... One of the sadest days of my life. RIP big fella.
SmarterEveryDay Let me guess he wasn't there ?
he stirred up the sting ray for tv ratings --- paid the price !
I want to study in Australia at some point!
i cant understand
I miss Steve
Who is watching in August 2018
I live on the Sunshine Coast and I knew Steve, Genuine top bloke, end of story
i want to be like u
A lot of us here in australia did think he was an idiot and over the top
RIP Steve. ♥️💔
Steve Irwin left a HUGE legacy that no one can match. RIP.
The amount of times he said morons and idiot made him seem like an absolute wanker
@1:04 "he was a human being". What does that mean? Are there people out there that are not human beings? Do some people deserve to accidentally die from a stingray tail? It makes no sense any way you slice it, but just be be perfectly clear; every person on earth is a human being. Steve Irwin did indeed die from being an idiot. Dr. Seymour had that hunch right the first time. Irwin took an unnecessary risk, and his luck finally ran out. Just because he cared about people and "misunderstood" dangerous wildlife did not mean that he wasn't an idiot that routinely put himself (and his infant child, don't forget) in mortal danger, all for entertainment and profit. To justify this, he also advocated for wildlife, though I'm still not convinced his message was all that balanced. If you are an animal rights activist try not to forget that humans are animals too.
I have never understood all the sycophants that come to the defense of Steve Irwin's dangerous behavior. It was not a freak accident! It was completely avoidable.

Like the guy that got eaten by the grizzlies or the nuts that use wings suits or free climb... death is waiting. I wear my seat-belt and plan on enjoying grandchildren someday.
Most of these people are a little Nuts.
